Multimodality

Waymap is a mobile application providing step-by-step navigation guidance indoors, outdoors, and deep underground. Initially developed for persons with visual impairments, the app uses disruptive proprietary technology to provide step-level accuracy for all abled and differently-abled persons.

The technology is powered by a suite of proprietary location algorithms which use only the sensors built into standard smartphones to provide real-time location tracking, allowing the app to function without the use of any physical infrastructure (e.g., Bluetooth beacons or WiFi routers) and without relying on any external connectivity (e.g., WiFi, Bluetooth, mobile data, GPS).

Waymap provides navigation guidance indoors and outdoors, including real-time public transit information, supporting users through full door-to-door journeys. Waymap also offers a content management system, allowing venue owners/operators to manage their map data and publish changes to the application in real time.
