Vortex air quality monitors provide real-time, hyper-local air quality data for mass transit environments, enabling monitoring against relevant air quality standards and supporting public health assessment.

The Vortex Air standard product has been further developed into a new version, Vortex Air Metro, which builds on existing sensor technology and is specifically engineered for operation in harsh underground conditions. This includes sustained exposure to high air velocities generated by passing trains in metro stations.

Vortex Air Metro is designed and manufactured to comply with applicable underground fire safety requirements. Its wireless communications and data connectivity have been tested and verified for reliable operation in underground environments. Real-world operational testing has been conducted in live stations on the London Underground and Paris Metro networks.
