HYBA Battery pack
Modular, weldless battery system for light electric mobility, enabling repair, cell replacement and easy recycling with a resilient EU supply chain.
Supported by: EIT Urban Mobility
Product Details
The company develops a modular battery system for light electric mobility and stationary applications, engineered with design for disassembly at its core. Unlike traditional welded packs, the architecture allows batteries to be mechanically assembled and fully disassembled, enabling rapid access to internal components and straightforward cell replacement.
This approach extends battery lifetime, simplifies maintenance and drastically reduces total cost of ownership. Operators can refurbish batteries by replacing only degraded cells instead of discarding entire packs, minimising waste and reducing dependence on critical raw materials.
The system supports swappable battery configurations, enabling flexible fleet operations and minimising downtime. Combined with a European-first supply chain, this solution aligns with upcoming regulations on repairability, recyclability and end-of-life management.
