Future Mobility

Calyo Pulse is an ultra-low size, weight and power 3D ultrasound sensor that integrates onto any vehicle or platform, from passenger vehicles to shuttles, industrial and mining vehicles to low-speed shuttles, first/last-mile delivery vehicles, and drones.

With a compact design and the ability to operate in adverse weather conditions, Calyo Pulse provides safe and reliable imaging performance, ensuring success of autonomous mobility in a range of industries. Powered by Calyo Sensus, it processes real-time multi-channel RF data, offering customisable outputs.

Calyo’s 3D ultrasound sensor systems show various competitive advantages;

  • Robust and reliable – they have no moving parts;
  • Unaffected by object colour or transparency unlike cameras and LiDAR sensors;
  • Unaffected by atmospheric conditions like dust, fog, rain & snow;
  • Unaffected by light levels – they work equally well in darkness;
  • Excellent for near-field sensing.

Integrated 2x Pulse sensors (in the front bumper of a passenger vehicle)

Calyo's 3-D ultrasound perception sensors are more than viable for use in self-driving road vehicles, for use cases involving parking, heavy traffic and low speed city driving. This image shows and 2 integrated Pulse sensors (in the front bumper) with a self driving car's ROS2 based perception stack. Replacing the multitude of 1-D parking aids – cutting down the unit count by at least half, and offering a significant upgrade in full 3-D at a comparable or reduced cost.
