The Challenge

The award supports technology-based projects that can create a strong impact in smart and sustainable mobility, especially in:

  • Electric mobility
  • Connected mobility
  • Autonomous mobility
  • Shared mobility
  • Related infrastructures

The aim is to accelerate innovative solutions that can transform future mobility systems and help startups scale within a strong industrial ecosystem.

Who can apply?

Applicants should have a technology-based project (typically startup-stage, prototype, or MVP phase) aligned with the categories above and looking for the right ecosystem to grow internationally. MUBIL especially targets projects with strong innovation potential and market impact. 

2025 prizes:

  • 1st prize: €12,500 + an additional €12,500 for projects developed with MUBIL Hub agents
  • 2nd prize: €4,000 + an additional €6,000 for projects developed with MUBIL Hub agents

Plus for both winners:

  • 12 months of workspace
  • Access to and membership in the MUBIL Hub ecosystem
  • Publicity and visibility
  • A stand at MUBIL Mobility Expo

Background

MUBIL Hub is a Basque initiative designed to position Gipuzkoa (Spain) as an international reference point for smart and sustainable mobility. It connects major mobility companies, R&D infrastructure, technology centres and training institutions to support innovation and commercialisation. The awards act as an entry point for promising startups into this ecosystem.
