Germany-Essen: Installation of new LED street lighting
Background
The subject of this contract consists of LED street and pedestrian crossing lights as well as LED wall and ceiling lights.
- The city of Essen intends to replace around 2,000 outdated street lights with modern LED lights or to build new ones every year over a period of three years be supplied by nature conservation conditions for insect friendliness. For a future-proof installation as part of Smart City, the lights can be equipped with a three-stage switch and up to two Zhaga sockets. Particular attention is drawn to the realization of the power reduction during the night.
- The city of Essen intends to replace or install around 150 LED ceiling lights or LED wall lights in underpasses each year over a period of three years. The LED lights should be supplied with the appropriate luminous flux for standard-compliant illumination, taking into account nature conservation conditions for insect-friendliness. All components of the luminaires relevant for testing and maintenance must be accessible from below without dismantling them from the wall or ceiling. The LED lights are to be equipped with a three-stage switch that makes it possible to set different luminous flux levels with a simple operation, without having to make any further interventions in the driver programming.
The contract will be awarded to the most economical offer. The energy consumption over 10 years is also taken into account. This means the acquisition costs per type of luminaire (EP unit price) plus the costs for energy (energy consumption costs) per type of luminaire over a period of 10 years.
