Product Details
Traditional surveys used to analyse school routes are costly and time-consuming. The "School Route Demand Model" is a digital, data-driven solution that models highly frequented school routes using statistical methods and multiple mobility datasets. The result is a cloud-based platform displaying school routes on a map and related statistics detailing frequencies, modal split, age groups, etc.
This enables cities to prioritise road safety measures, support active mobility and reduce planning efforts. The identified school routes can be combined with the automated road safety analyses for traffic planning in the 'Safer Mobility Analytics & Research Tool - SMART' and the 'digital school route planner' of Initiative for Safer Roads.
