Luxene is a road guidance lighting system integrated directly into road markings, designed to improve visibility and safety in dark, wet and low-contrast conditions.

The system distributes centrally generated light through durable, side-emitting fiber-optic lines embedded in the road surface. All in-road components are fully passive, with no electronics in the road, resulting in high reliability, low maintenance and long service life.

From a single roadside e-cabinet, Luxene can illuminate up to approximately 400 meters of guidance line, significantly reducing infrastructure, energy use and installation complexity compared to conventional lighting. By guiding road users along the road geometry rather than illuminating the surroundings, Luxene improves visual orientation while minimising light pollution.
