Sarajevo: assistive technologies for people with disabilities
The Challenge
Approximately 10% of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s population lives with disabilities. Limited access to assistive technologies significantly impacts individuals with disabilities across education, employment, health, and overall well-being, with broader societal implications.
The City of Sarajevo aims at improving the accessibility and availability of assistive technology by innovative technologies. For these solutions it is imperative to ensure equal opportunities for all individuals, including those with disabilities. Such initiatives are essential not only for meeting immediate needs but also for fostering a more equitable and supportive societal framework in the long term.
