Background

Background

The purpose of granting these awards is to recognize good practices and initiatives that promote sustainable mobility and intermodality by promoting measures that promote non-polluting modes of transport, reduce emissions, minimize the polluting effects produced by road traffic and favor accessibility to services. The aim, therefore, is to distinguish and reward good practices and initiatives in mobility, both in the public and private sectors, seeking to promote and give visibility to the action plans and initiatives of individuals, public and private companies, institutions and any entity that is carrying out exemplary mobility projects. The recognition of those who promote changes, together with the sharing of these good practices, will promote greater progress and in less time, thus contributing to the achievement of the objectives of improving mobility more efficiently. Initiatives must have an impact on society and the environment and be active at the time of submission of the application. Projects in the development phase, whether partial or total, can also be submitted at the time of submitting the application.

The scope of action must be the municipality of Madrid, regardless of whether it may have also been applied in other countries, and its results, total or partial, must be verifiable.
