Germany-Wismar: Creating a Transport Development Plan.

The Hanseatic City of Wismar last had a traffic development plan drawn up in 1995/1996. A comprehensive update must now be carried out, taking into account all means of transport, public space, and approaches to transport system and mobility management. The plan must meet the requirements of a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) in accordance with EU criteria. Traffic deficiencies and problem areas are to be worked out and proposed solutions are to be worked out, taking into account the results of a comprehensive discussion of objectives. The public must be involved. The services also include conducting a household survey on mobility behavior.
