Background

The objective of this tender is to transform the former "Ray Barracks" area in Friedberg (Hesse), owned by the Federal Real Estate Agency (BImA), into a vibrant urban district. This transformation aims to create a modern, diverse, and sustainable community, offering various living arrangements, affordable housing, and amenities for different social groups. The project also focuses on fostering education by making the district attractive for students and establishing scientific, commercial, and innovative enterprises. Key goals include the development of public spaces, promotion of future-oriented mobility concepts, and integration with existing urban structures. Real estate developers experienced in large brownfield site development are invited to participate and present their urban development concepts for consideration.
