Sustainable City Logistics

With the digital platform for space sharing, SHQUARED has been supporting the sharing of commercially usable spaces for 4 years. The advantages are obvious: resource-saving commercial use goes hand in hand with cost savings and a more attractive, because livelier city. At the same time, new businesses and start-ups are supported and the range of services for the city's population is expanded without the need for new buildings - a win-win situation, simply by sharing unused space.

A pressing problem has now also been discussed in the mobility committee of the state capital Munich - in the future, traffic in the city centre is to be relieved and logistics traffic drastically reduced. Traffic and emissions can be reduced through climate-friendly last-mile delivery via cargo bikes. The transhipment points required for this will be created in existing areas through multiple use. In a pilot project, SHQUARED is now supplementing its successful digital platform with a logistics.
