The Challenge
The SME Market Expansion Call by EIT Urban Mobility aims to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) expand their market reach by developing or improving innovative mobility solutions. The programme addresses key urban mobility challenges, such as congestion, capacity constraints in public transport, urban logistics inefficiencies, and the need for innovative data management and electrification solutions. By fostering the development of cutting-edge mobility innovations, EIT Urban Mobility aims to create smarter, more resilient urban transport systems that meet modern societal, environmental, and economic demands.
Who can apply?
The call is open to SMEs with at least two full-time employees, based in EU countries and associated states. Swiss-based SMEs are also eligible, though with specific funding limits. Applicants must provide a letter of intent from a prospective public or private client, demonstrating interest in piloting or adopting the proposed solution. Projects should either develop a new product for an existing client or significantly enhance an existing solution for market expansion in a new region or sector.
