Nouvelle-Aquitaine: Call for projects "Road and Maritime Hydrogen Mobility Hub"
Background
Scope
The call for projects "Road and Maritime Hydrogen Mobility Hub" aims to develop the use of renewable hydrogen in the mobility sector as a substitute for fossil fuels. For regional financial support, the call for projects targets primarily:
1. Projects for the production of green or carbon-free hydrogen on a regional scale: Primarily on industrial or port sites or in certain territorial hubs where production and mobility use (see mixed-use solutions) are brought together and coherent
2. Refueling infrastructure projects with a coherent regional network, mainly located on: Roads and motorways; Port or river sites.
3. Clean mobility projects:
- Maritime and river transport: Passenger transport (tourism, yachting, public transport); Transport of goods; Fishing and shellfish/oyster farming
- Road transport: Transport of goods or waste: utility vehicles, companies and heavy vehicles as a priority, logistics transport, and handling; Passenger transport: heavy vehicles (coaches, buses, mini buses etc.)
- Professional captive fleet
- Rail freight (in port or industrial areas, last km)
The Region will also give priority to projects allowing both enhance its strengths and structure its sector. Thus, a careful particular attention will be paid to the following issues:
- The deployment of hydrogen technologies in large territorial infrastructure ((air)port sites, roads, logistics platforms, business parks, etc.), and the operation of local energy potential to decarbonize mobility uses mainly or provide green electrification solutions for these priority areas.
- The development of the regional technological and industrial offer of solutions, in particular driven by innovative regional start-ups, VSEs and SMEs.
- The integration of all links in the value chain (production, transport/storage/distribution, uses, services and training).
- The conduct of experiments on new technologies or new processes supported by territories.
Financial support
The request for aid for studies and investments must be made before any start of studies, works or acquisition of equipment, and preferably before signing the purchase orders to justify the incentive of the aid. Without a fixed date for submitting an application, requests for study or investment aid will be examined as they arise by the Region's training service.
- Aid for preliminary studies: Regional aid rate up to 50% maximum
- Investment aid: The aid rates apply to the total cost excluding VAT or to the additional environmental cost (reference solution deducted) for tangible and intangible investments related to the investment program. In accordance with the Region's intervention regulations and State aid schemes, the regional aid rate will be:
- Large companies or local authorities: up to 45% maximum
- Medium-sized companies: up to 55% maximum
- Small businesses and start-ups: up to 65% maximum
