Challenge Area addressed

Sustainable City Logistics

The Smart Zone Enforcement Module is Europe's first enforcement system dedicated to (un)loading zones.

By combining IoT sensors, Smart Zones bookings, and a dedicated enforcement app, the module replaces passive monitoring with alert-based enforcement. Officers are notified only when infringement occurs, allowing limited enforcement capacity to be used efficiently. The system is live in real urban environments and supports multiple enforcement models, including central dispatch and direct on-street officer assignment, depending on local requirement.

Key features

  • Digital, automated enforcement
  • Seamless integration with city fining systems
  • Scalable and adaptable
  • Actionable insights into usage and infringement

Benefits

Cities gain an effective tool to reduce congestion and prevent misuse of public space. Logistics operators benefit from more reliable access to (un)loading zones, while residents experience safer, more predictable streets.
