Road safety is a well-known issue in the urban environment. Therefore, many municipalities are targeting the Vision Zero approach to reach zero casualties and reduce road accidents.
However, cities are complex environments, which makes it highly complicated to test planning alternatives for improving road safety. Moreover, road safety depends on many variables, such as weather, road condition, etc, which are highly complicated to predict.
Cognata provides a simulation platform with a testing and analysis engine for improving road safety and traffic flows. Cognata uses 4D models which include AI-based mobility traffic layers, which are helping cities and planners understand and analyze safety and traffic scenarios to improve safety and efficiency of future urban traffic planning.
The simulation platform automatically creates digital twins from imported HD maps. It also provides BI and large scale analytics of safety and traffic scenarios to offer urban planners meaningful insights.

In addition, Cognata won the EIT Urban Mobility RAPTOR program, where we performed a pilot for testing safety scenarios in the city of Tel Aviv.
