Background

Bærum Municipality extends an invitation to a market dialogue for input on actor-neutral parcel boxes on behalf of the inter-municipal project 'Supplies Logistics in the E18 Corridor' with Oslo, Bærum, Asker, and Drammen Municipalities.

The project 'Supplies Logistics in the E18 Corridor' would like the four municipalities to find uniform and open systems for goods transport, which adapt to the needs of both goods deliveries to inhabitants and businesses. The systems will also contribute to national climate goals being reached, and will reduce transport costs through better use of capacity, more use of ICT, and the development of new logistics systems.

One of the concepts that will be tested in a 3-5 year period is 'actor-neutral collection points'.

The municipalities would like:

  • Actor-neutral parcel vending machines that are open for all who would like to deliver parcels to the vending machines.
  • Collection points that contribute to reducing transport and emissions from goods distribution, and which are an offer that all inhabitants can use.
  • Actor-neutral parcel vending machines that can be used across suppliers in order to ensure equality in competition terms and area-efficient solutions.
  • The placement of collection points must be seen in connection with the establishment of a uniform and actor-neutral infrastructure for goods logistics in the West Corridor.
