MUBIL Mobility Awards 2024 for smart and sustainable mobility
The Challenge
If you have a technology-based project in one of the following categories and are looking for the proper ecosystem to develop it, the MUBIL Mobility Awards may be the boost your project needs:
- Electric mobility
- Connected mobility
- Autonomous mobility
- Shared mobility
- Related infrastructures
Who can apply?
This award is aimed at high-impact projects that are in the prototype phase.
The prototype phase is understood as the phase featuring a minimum viable product or service, or a mock-up (representation, demonstration or simulation) which solves the problem identified, close to or within the market phase.
Additionally, a high-impact project is understood as a project with considerable innovative content which, thanks to technology, can bring about a transformation in terms of smart sustainable mobility. The competition is open to:
- Any entrepreneur or group of entrepreneurs resident either in Spain or abroad
- Companies already created in Spain or abroad that have not had a turnover of more than €500,000 during the last financial year in the project submitted
- Technology centres and universities located in Spain or abroad
The finalists will have the chance to present their projects to a panel of experts in mobility and entrepreneurship, at an event in October in Donostia-San Sebastian to decide the winners of the MUBIL Mobility Awards.
Background
The MUBIL strategy focuses on turning the Basque Country, Spain into an international industrial benchmark in terms of smart and sustainable mobility and energy storage. The strategy emerges in MUBIL smart and sustainable mobility Hub, a space-ecosystem for encounters, interaction and integration in which new opportunities are generated. A scenario where innovation is transformed into a strategy and competitiveness factor for entrepreneurial and social development.
In this context, the MMA seek to reward high-impact technology projects which have at least reached the prototype phase which solves the problem identified, and is in line with the acting scope of the MUBIL strategy.
