Germany-Bensheim: Creation of a sustainable and inclusive mobility concept

The city of Bensheim intends to award the creation of a mobility concept - Mobile Bensheim 2040. With the mobility concept, the city of Bensheim is choosing a sustainable, holistic approach in order to create an attractive offer for all mobility players. The aim is to achieve equality between the modes of transport. By shifting transport from private motorized transport (MIV) to environmentally friendly modes of transport, climate protection is also being promoted. With its climate protection programme, the city of Bensheim stands for “sustainability as a guiding principle for citizens and administration”. By reducing motorised traffic, the city of Bensheim is helping to reduce CO2 emissions and greenhouse gases. In addition, a traffic model is to be created for the urban area.
