Denmark-Copenhagen: City-wide data management platforms
Background
Copenhagen Solutions Lab (CSL) is an innovative division within The City of Copenhagen dedicated to smart city initiatives, collaborating on innovation projects with both internal and external partners. Our guiding principles revolve around the concepts of 'Green' and 'Digital,' and our primary mission is to not only test but also advance novel solutions.
In alignment with The City of Copenhagen's ongoing efforts, we are actively engaged in the development of a new climate strategy, which places significant emphasis on consumption-based emissions. Consequently, this will be a central area of focus for CSL as we continue our work.
Citywide data platforms are being developed to facilitate the seamless integration, analysis, and management of various processes and assets. This dynamic landscape is characterized by significant advancements in both technology and governance, with a clear focus on harnessing data for maximum efficiency and impact.
Cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and innovative methods for visualizing and leveraging data are being employed across different sectors. In addition, there are concerted efforts at multiple governance levels, exemplified by initiatives like TEFs, MIMs, dataspaces, and others, which are primarily rooted in the European Union framework.
We are actively seeking collaborations on projects that address these overarching challenges. Our aim is to not only tackle these cross-cutting issues but also to place strong emphasis on tangible use cases and the creation of value, particularly in the context of driving the green transition.
